Upconverting DVD player distorting the sound?
When I play a DVD on my upconverting DVD player Coby, the entries stop characters on the screen. It starts well, and then begins to distort. Is resolved when I pause a few seconds, but it gets kind of annoying. And 'this is a stretch of upconverting players DVD. Could be my bad? Is there a way to solve this problem?
It should not have anything to do with "upconverting ' the video. What is actually doing the analog-digital conversion of your audio? Your DVDs or your surround processor? Are you by any chance running a analog connection for the processor? One possibility I've seen is that they have an analog input is converted to digital too high. It's a little 'complicated but see where you can simplify the configuration – in particular the menus and commands, and will probably be able to resolve the problem. Otherwise, it may indicate a bad player.
