What does it mean when the display driver fails?
I just bought a DVD-R, and was using Nero 7 to make a menu for the DVD. The light of screen, and everything is 8-bits about me! A window came up saying that the driver nv4_disp had stopped responding and restarted the comp needs. I managed to get Windows to close and restart my comp ok. I was doing the previous problems with this Black, like prog complete freezing. This might be released display driver linked to Black & Problems? Has anyone else had problems with Nero 7? I just did a full system virus scan and nothing came up this afternoon. I appreciate any advice or suggestions that people can afford me! Thanks!
It means exactly what it says: The driver, a piece of software that tells the operating system how to use a device, had a problem that caused the outage. Sometimes these are caused by a faulty driver, in which case you should look for an updated driver the manufacturer's website. In this case, it would be NVIDIA. This can be solved by getting updates / patches to the program in question.
