Magnavox Dvd Player

Magnavox Dvd Player
How can you connect a mwd7006 Magnavox DVD / CD to a digital decoder Medicom?

We have an old TV into reality. It 'a symphony and has a single coaxial cable hook up in the back. We tried all ways to connect the DVD player to the box and failed. We were told to get a modulator RF and then hook the TV up to that and then hook the receiver to the modulator, then connect the DVD video and audio cables to the modulator. For some reason, the TV still does not play video or TV audio. One last note … our DVD player does not have a coaxial plug. Has only one S-video output jack. A coaxial cable does not fit inside. Keep in mind … I am a girl. I'm not on a par with today's "electro Lingo". Be specific. Do not tell me to call mediacom and ask them because we have walked through it and the only result he got was no cable TV. Some technical support …. blah. PLEASE HELP !!!!!!!!!!! We have it on right channel! U.S. girls. Not stupid !!!!!

Did you pass the S-Video cable to the RF modulator or AV wires (should be 3 of them red, white and yellow). Ok, so be sure you have that right, you have the cable from the cable box out to the modulator RF modulator out the cable from the cable TV. The TV is on the right channel, but sometimes The module has a switch seems too stupid, but check this too. If this fails, try something different in the modulator such as a game system or VCR to ensure its proper operation. If you could have defective wires from the DVD player. Just a side note the yellow wire is the video and that is what sends the signal to the modulator is turned on (if you start with just a signal like mine). I hope this helps, if I write back and try to help more.
