Using a PC hardrive on a 50 "Samsung HDTV plasma TV?
Ok, I heard that instead of having a DVD player with a hardrive connected to your TV, you can use something similar to / or a PC hardrive to do? I have the connections on the TV so someone did and it was unreal? What to buy? just go shopping etc and from a PC hardrive or is there also all programs to get it running? can you check with a remote or a mouse? You can get towers blue ray and regular DVD format? Play all regions and the need for tower has a TV tuner card? also can be connected so you can record by Foxtel and TV channels? I have a 50 "Plasma HDTV Samsung 1080. Any help and words of experience appreciated!
I suggest reviewing Media Center PCs. Brand and HP. See the link below. They have different characteristics. I saw them not only with a Blu-ray, but also a blue ray player / recorder. They may include cards TV tuner with remote control and IR blaster to control a cable box or satellite receiver so you can do at time of registration. The Media Center program guide is excellent. You Just click on a program in the guide, and will be registered at the time. Media Center is a Microsoft operating system, and you can get on a different PC manufacturer than HP. The most complete PC should include not only everything that I mentioned above, but also a CableCARD that will allow the PC to record from cable HDTV without a decoder. Computers coupling to the TV via HDMI or DVI, in versions that have TV-out capabilities.
