How do I know which remotes are compatible with the DVD player?
My dog chewed the remote that came with our Panasonic DVD / VCRs (model PV-D4752). So when I need to buy a new one in any case, I'd find one that actually works on the TV and DVD player. In the past, universal remote controls that Our TV worked (early 1990 model) and our old VCR would not work with our DVD player, TV or DVD remote control. How do I know which remote controls are compatible with both?
Go to any place that sells remote post sales and most of those are programmable. Look on the package for your brand name Panasonic. (Usually a list overleaf) If there is a work program codes for the DVD player. Another option is to contact Panasonic themselves for a replacement, but it will probally be pricy. However, after some market remotes do not offer all the features that the manufacturer does.
